Took the family down to Pevensey for picnic on the beach and got a light wind blast in the Bay. The tide was slooshing downwind and a 90 degree shift caught me out when I first hit the water, so it was one of those very marginal blasts back up wind for most of it, but still a very pleasant dry haired sail with no walk of shame that often accompanies conditions like that. My 7.8 Formula Light has finally deceased with a big split at boom height. Too much for the gaffer tape this time. Still, birthday on Tuesday, so that might spur me into some proper kit buying at last - that requires decisions though, which may put the kybosh on that.
